The medications you are taking are safe, continue it for the duration your consulting doctor has advised.
Along with treatment with medications, you must start to work on your lifestyle and diet pattern.
1. Avoid Tea, coffee, other caffinated drinks, acidic and citrus food
2. Instead of having 3 regular large meals in a day, opt for small quantity light meals 5 to 6 times a day, at a Duration of 2 to 3 hours, so that there is faster digestion, the food from your stomach moves down faster, will not be present in to stomach and upper intestine for long to cause symptoms of acid reflux or Acid Peptic Disease.
3. Noting your height and weight to calculate your BMI, it is significantly high, this itself can worsen your symptoms even if you are taking measures to correct your diet, and take regular medications.
4.Make sure of exercising minimum 5 times a week, even if in form of regular or brisk walking for minimum 30 to 45 mins, again to aid in faster digestion, or any other exercise alternative which you are comfortable with to help you regulate your weight.
5. Changing your diet by avoiding spicy and oily junk food is important along with getting a definate diet plan costumized for yourself to help you optimize your macro and micronutrients intake.
6. Avoid any form of alcohol/ smoking/ tobacco, or any other adverse habits if you are involved in them.
7. Avoid lying down immediately after meals minimum for 45 mins to 1 hour.
While lying down keep your head and upper body elevated with pillows to prevent reflux.
