I am in a situation where I can't stop my anxiety medicine , neither can I delay planning for pregnancy . I am taking FLUOXETINE 20 mg each day . What are the bad effects of taking this medicine during pregnancy ? I am overthinking but have no choice .

The best way is to cross-taper fluoxetine with sertraline and go for pregnancy, as it is considered the safest anti-anxiety in pregnancy.

This medication is safe during pregnancy. If you have not conceived yet, you can consult and we'll start you on other medication which is more safe and tolerable during pregnancy than fluoxetine.

Please consult with a psychiatrist, because it needs proper history and evaluation of your illness before commenting anything about your medication .
