Well, most of the time, floaters are a harmless symptom for which there is no permanent cure.
But there are a couple of important things you should know.
If you have noticed the floaters for the first time, then it's better to get it checked out by an Ophthalmologist, just to be on the safe side. A sudden appearance of floaters could be a sign of a retinal problem.
Try to have a general idea about the number of floaters... is it static or increasing in number over time? In the latter case, consult an Ophthalmologist.
Also be on the look out for flashes (looks like the light of a camera flash when you get your picture clicked) accompanying the floaters. This is also another sign of retinal disease.
