Lower partial flexible denture is made loose by the dentist who has washed his hands off after taking money. Can it be tightened ? Please guide as I've spent a lot on it.

As suggested by my esteemed colleagues, flexible dentures cannot be modified for a tighter fit. You can visit your dentist again and request for a cast partial denture. Cast partial dentures offer excellent fit and are comfortable to use. Alternatively you can replace the missing teeth with implants and caps.

Unlike regular acrylic dentures, flexible dentures cannot be repaired, relined or rebased.

Hello, Flexible dentures needs to be dipped in warm water the first time , before the dentist has inserted into your mouth. If the dentist has done this procedure and it is still loose then you have to visit a prosthodontist but it is difficult to reline/rebase a flexible denture. Hi..it seems difficult making the flexible denture tight as it does not have metal clasps. But you can visit any other dentist and get the exact problem rectified. All the best!!
