It seems I have flat feet and it pains when standing /walking for long time. I was into running but once pain started I stopped running. Now I am not sure what type of shoes I should get for my feet. Ones with flat sole or one with arch support. Or should I get some insoles.

Start strengthening your ankle muscles. Walking on heel toes and both sides also roll a ball below your foot . Start doing Thera band exercises for your feet and ankle. You get proper running shoes at your age arch support hardly helps.
