The first step I would suggest is to proceed with a MR fistulogram for a better and detailed understanding.
Post the MRI, if tract is present , then always the best option is to do surgery as early as possible.
Reasons that I would suggest for Surgery - a simple fistula now can be complicated eventually to a very complex fistula . Once it's complex the cure / recurrence rate differs significantly.
So when the fistula is simple , get it operated.
Whatever medication you take , it will take a miracle for your fistula to heal and not recur.
So definitely surgery as early as possible.
No home remedies.
Untill you so surgery, continue sitz bath promptly and keep yours stools soft. ( Plenty fibre diet and water, laxatives if necessary only)
