  4. First pregnancy. Plz suggest!

First pregnancy

35 week and started labor pain. Doc said as no opening need to b on Duadelin injection 6hrly shez admitted in hospital from 4days and doc asked can u stay for 2weeks. My understanding is 9month baby is saf to deliver and should have any problems. Till now around 20 injections are given.Baby weight is 2.3kgs no other complication. Is it gud n safe to b on duadelin or whether doc is misguiding. Plz suggest

We usually give inj for a 48 hour time during which we give corticosteroids for the baby's lung maturation. After that there is no role of duadilan. Mostly the pains stop n bed rest is given

We use Duvadilan drip to get a lease of 24 hours so that Steroid injections have time to act on fetal lungs. No point in using Duvadilan for more than 48 hours.
