Does he really require surgery or it can be corrected by cement bandage( I don't know the exact word)..please need an urgent opinion of doctors..and how serious is it..thanks and regards.

This type of fracture can be managed with a ball and bandage splint for 3 weeks. Only down side being that the shape of the bone is different from the other fingers. Functionally there is not much difference. Surgery can be sometimes be advised if it grossly displaced
