Fever since 8 days dengue

My mother has Fever since 8 days and dengue positive with platelet count reading 100 (thousand/mm3) Last 3 days platelet count reading 31May 100 30May 126 29May 132 Please let me know the course of treatment. She is taking papaya leaf extract 2 times a day since last 2 days. Fever is under control since last 12 hrs.

Sorry to burst your bubble but rather than taking a pappaya leaf extract......please ensure adequate hydration and monitoring her platelet counts. Since dengue is a viral fever antibiotics are NOT useful, and its normal in the course of the illness that platelet count drops &I then starts improving. As long as she is not taking any intramuscular injections or aspirin, even if the counts fall below 1lakh, it's not a cause of worry.
