Fever from 10 days
Hi sir my son is 4 years old and suffering from fever from 9 days initially wbc count is 15.7 and after three doses of xone 700mg his wbc count dropped to 11.8 but still fever is above 101 all mp widal n dengue tests are negative. Now i Am giving metal p every 8 hrs sir what may be the cause of fever and how many days it may last. Any other medicine to use pls help me out sir.now he is also complaining of headache at back only when fever comes
Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely.
Since all tests are normal,just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
Repeat the blood tests after 5 days if fever persists.
Ensure a healthy balanced diet and plenty of fluids.
