Fever for a week .

My child aged 3 years suffering from for a week after getting hurt in penis on 2apr.Urine test indicates no problem.Doctor prescribed antibiotic for two day from 7apr onwards.Today again 102 fever recorded at 2pm.Doctor unable to make a way out.please guide accordingly.

If the child is crying or straining while passing urine then urine infection will be there. So give urine culture also and continue the same antibiotic. It will take time to control infection. Till then give fever control medicines. It takes 3 days for the report. Hope your doubts are cleared.
