FESS Surgery under Sedation

I am supposed to be having FESS under sedation next week with no Septoplasty The surgeon said that there is a small chance it may not happen due to the deviation of the Septum and accessing the sinuses. I know each case is unique; however likely is this in % terms and why can't the be moved under sedation?

Follow your doctor's advice and trust his work. No one can tell Percentages in this. Rather cannot make any comments without physically examining you. Discuss the same with your treating doctor
