Why sometimes female form two eggs? Which is responsible for twins. Is harmones are responsible for this or any other cause for more than one egg form..?
Usually female produces single egg in one cycle. Some females with genetic tendency to have twins,or having problems called PCOS or on some infertility treatment have greater chances of having twins. But we can't decide this. It's matter of chance.

Naturally every time only one egg mature and released from overy.
But in case of ovulation induction medicine more than 1 egg mature. And risk of twins pregnancy is more in this case
