Feeling no blood circulation in leg

My husband has sitting job of 9 hour shift. Now he is complaining that he feels like no blood circulation in leg after sitting for long hour like there is swelling not regularly but sometimes. I am really worried about it. Is it something serious? Actually his father died due to food pipe cancer as he was heavy drinker and smoker. So a little disturbance in health of my husband make me fear about his health. Kindly help is it something serious?
