Hi there! Thanks for reaching out!
It sounds like you have been going through a lot. Not to make anything worse, the medical doctor in me is worried about other conditions that could explain some of your symptoms like lightheadedness/headaches, feeling confused at times/brain fog, in the setting of ?high body mass index (BMI >25), concerns me for an underlying sleep apnea disorder. Again, that may be why you experienced those initial symptoms and then one thing lead to another and so on.
The neuropsychiatrist in me is concerned about a possibility of a somatic symptom disorder which encompasses symptoms like excessive thoughts, worrying, or behaviors (time and energy) related to the somatic symptoms (usually pain, discomfort, fatigue or gastrointestinal symptoms, essentially involve any organ system) or to health concerns. These may progress to a point that they become a central feature of the patient's identity and may dominate interpersonal relationships, psychosocial and physical functioning decline, etc. Again, it's too premature to definitely say anything at this time.
Next Steps
For either standpoint, there are things we can do about them and would involve a thorough evaluation by a mental health professional trained in medicine (for e.g. a neuropsychiatrist) which would then inform treatment accordingly.
