I get tensed n feel suffocated in darkness. Though I'm a deep sleeper, power cut causes panic in me n wake up immediately screaming for light.

Hi, there must be some reason why you are scared of darkness. And u might be having other associated symptoms as well. You need to get that assessed in detail by a Psychiatrist.
