Got flexor tendon injury under right index finger on 23rd Jan 2019. Today I had MRI and gap between tendon ends is 2.2 cm. I am getting married on 19th Feb so I want to know if I go for surgery after 15 days then my tendon can be repaired without graft or not. If I go for surgery now then it can be repaired without graft or not? Please answer in details. MRI is attached. Thanks.

2.2 cm is not too much of a gap. usually it is possible  to do end to end repair with in 3-4wk. But individual response  vary. Why not have it done after wedding.? You will be more relaxed.

The tendon has retracted 2.2 cms. Only during surgery will it be possible to know if the tendon ends will come without any stretch. If the tendon ends come together, then it can be repaired. However you will need to be in a splint. If you go for surgery after 15 days, it is unpredictable if the tendon ends will come together.
