My wife had 2 miscarriages in last 2 years while all reports were normal. Recently, doctor performed laparoscopy and she found that Fallopian tube with many turns. Doctor told me that it is birth defect and also the reason for miscarriage. She has recommended IUI for pregnancy. May I know what is the medical term for "fallopian tubes with many turns" and is "IUI " right step in such case. Thanks in advance.
There is no specific term for the anomaly mentioned. It appears to be a long convoluted tube. However it's unlikely that it will cause abortion. Abortion usually occurs due to hormone problem or defect in uterus. If embryo is reaching the uterus, that itself indicates that Fallopian tube is not the cause for this. IUI will increase chances of conceiving, so you may give it a try
According to me the cause of abortion is not your turns,There are many other causes of abortions.like fever (malaria),Torch infection . And hormonal definitely Why are you not start treat from starting the missed date and confirmation of pregnancy.
