Hi There I visited an eye specialist to check number. Because I have a PCOD, she asked me to do a TE, TR and TSH test MY Reports are as below TSH (ULTRASENSITIVE) THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE 3.97 µIU/ml Method : FULLY AUTOMATED CHEMILUMINESCENT IMMUNOASSAY on COBAS e411 INTERPRETATION Adult values : 0.2 - 5.0 µIU/ml : Normal More than 10 µIU/ml : Suggestive of Hypothyroid status. 5-10 µIU/ml : Borderline. Repeat result after 2 weeks. Less than 0.2 µIU/ml : Low TSH value. Seen in hyperthyroid status, Non-Thyroidal illness,sometimes in normal patients. Pregnancy First Trimester : (0.02 - 2.81 µIU/ml) Clin Chem 57:6 913-926 (2011) I don't understand why did she ask me to do a TSH test ?

Hello PCOD is associated with hypothyroidism. As you mentioned in history that you have PCOD so the doctor wanted to rule out any thyroid related disease also
