Yesterday during an eye visit Docyor performed my dilated eye exam test...After wearing a black colour instrument on her head...she took a round small reflector and from a distance of ~1 ft she performed the test at various angles with lot of light in eyes..Want to know what that test is and why it is used for
It's called Indirect Ophthalmoscopy. It's used to check the nerve of the eye and for examination of the retina which is a thin layer that lines the back of the eye.
Sir it's Indirect Ophthalmoscopy. Its used to visualize posterior segment of the eye where we examine Optic Disc, Macula, Blood vessels and entire Retina including the periphery.
