Our eyes have two types of refractive error - glass power 1.spherical- (sph) 2.cylindrical- ( cyl) Cylinder Power always works in a perticular axis only. So cyl and axis are prescribed accordingly. Example -0.50 *180 Where 0.50 is number of power And 180 is axis number . Whereas spherical power works in all 360 degree.so no axis is written with (sph.) Glass power again has two types 1. Minus means -use to see for distance 2.plus means - use to see for near object
Next Steps
Consult ophthalmologist for more details
