Eye infection

My eyes are blood red where there is lot of itching and burning sensation. Eyes are swollen too. I consulted a doctor in practo where he prescribed 3 medicines Moxicip kt, maxmoist and olopat. I took for 2 days but there is no improvement.

You may need moxicip lp +ocupol dx eye oint with some lubricant eye drops eg teardrops 3to 4times daily

Hi. Please stop Moxi- KT, In some  allergic patient Ketorolac itself cause stinging sensation. Kindly share your brief history with, Redness of eye will go after staring proper medication.

Rightly said by dr sumantra Jyoti. Don't be panicky. It takes some time to respond.  Keep your eyes clean by sterlised cotton - which you can do by boiling cotton in a pan & keep it tightly covered.

Better to add antibiotic eye ointment at night time for 7days along with other drops.

This could be infection of cornea & conjunctiva- keratoconjunctivitis.
Next Steps
Use lubricating eye drops like Refresh tears 5-6 times/day. Avoid water entering eyes( while face cleaning). Best to wait for next 4-7 days

In view of present covid pandemic please donot touch eyes Wash hands frequently. Stay away from others. Wipe all surfaces you touch with fresh tissue

This will take some time to respond. If there's no discharge then change moxicip kt to moxicip lp ( moxifloxacin plus loteprednol) 6 times/day. Rest same to continue.
