ry this:
Stare into the mirror at yourself for at least 5 minutes straight. You will feel a bit weird doing it, but you should feel the most comfortable with yourself.
Once you can do that for 5 minutes straight without feeling weirded out, move onto step 2:
2. Get a spouse or child to practice on. Ask them to have a staring contest with you, except youâre allowed to talk during the contest. Once youâve practiced for awhile and can feel comfortable speaking to them for long periods of time, move onto step 3:
3. Practice as you run your errands. For example, when youâre at the grocery store, practice looking directly at the cashier as youâre checking out. Make small talk with them while making eye contact, engaging them directly.
The more you practice, the better you will get. Just remember it normal to feel awkward when looking into someoneâs eyes. But soon you will realize that you cannot effectively communicate with others unless you look at them when youâre speaking. The eyes are the windows to the soul.
hope this helps
