Extraction

One tooth is shaking. .is there any risk if I let it fall on its own instead of getting it removed surgically? I went to one dentist. She told me she needs a letter from a physician stating that I am fit for tooth extraction and other dental issues like root canal, implantation. .. Please tell me what health issues can cause risk in extraction and implantation ?

If you need to get an extraction or any surgical treatment you need consent from the physician only if you are having some cardiac issues like recently if you have undergone any bypass surgery etc or uncontrolled hypertension or uncontrolled diabetes.. Bleeding disorders etc..

You can wait till it falls or postpone extraction till you wish. Cardiac conditions and blood thinning tablets such as aspirin pose a bleeding risk post removal of tooth. Any general health issue such as diabetes which is poorly controlled causes implant failure.
