Extraction for Braces

I have had braces for 8 months and have 4-5 months more. My orthodontist has advised me to extract 4 teeth in order to get perfect result. I really want to have the perfect teeth, he says if I don't extract 4 teeth, there would be still a little crowding left. So I just want to know, will the 4 extractions have any side effects or disadvantages, like chewing in long-run? I want my teeth to be straight, but if there are any side effects or future problems, I'm fine with a little crowding. And are there any problems such as eyesight problems, or facial structure issues with 4 extractions??

Hi..no in orthodontic extraction, only those teeth are removed ( 1st premolars) which have very less role in chewing, facial features and cosmetic concerns. So no need to worry. Go ahead and get the teeth aligned properly with extraction. Regards

No. 4 premolar extractions are frequently done for orthodontic treatment and will not affect either your eyes or your chewing efficiency in short or long term.
