Excess drinking not concentrating

One of my relative have been excessively drinking from past 1 year and he quit his job and is not able concentrate on anything like taking food and taking bath. Getting angry for small things and talking unpolitely. Kindly help..

Giving preference to drinking over other important life priorities can point towards alcohol dependence. It's a disease which can be controlled with proper management. He needs to be treated as soon as possible.

Hello miss. -- Your concern for ur relative is very genuine . -- According to your situation, you are    interested in seeing help but it should be    actually ur relative who sud reach a    Psychiatrist because he having alcohol    dependence syndrome. -- Alcohol damages  brain, liver ,skin, kidney,    blood vessels, heart, kidney & many more    systems. -- Dependence is a serious issue ,as it causes    personal, social ,professional & financial     impairments. -- The more it's get late the tough to treat all of    above.

** Talk to significant person who can take       responsibility of patient .Treatment is not       tough if you come in intial stage. All       problems can be resolved but he need a       detailed consultation along with significant       family member. ** Don't worry Addiction is very common &      successfully treated problem by Psychiatrist

The irritability and aggression is due to alcohol itself. He is suffering from Alcohol Dependence Syndrome or Alcohol induced mood disorder. In any case require attention and treatment. Please consult a psychiatrist
