Enterococcus faecalis in HVS

Is there any way to treat vaginal infections without antibiotics? Is antibiotics too bad during pregnancy? I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant. I have a cervical stitch and pessary placed at 13 weeks due to short cervix. All my high vaginal swabs comes back positive after the stitch . Already did 3 rounds of antibiotics (2 times oral and 1 round of IV antibiotics) last dose was given only 2 weeks back. I got tested again 3 days back because i was still having the same discharge. It came back positive again with moderate growth of enterococcus faecalis. CRP is 7.7 ESR is 55 And WBC is 10.1 I’ve been using betadine vaginal pessaries weekly. My doctor doesn’t want me to be on too many antibiotics so she hasn’t prescribed anything for me this time. She says it’s due to the stitch and pessary as they are foreign bodies. But i’m worried to be sitting with an infection without any treatment. Shouldn’t i be still treated?
