Vitamin D deficiency is present in around 80% of Indians. Vitamin D supplements are prescribed for certain conditions( which can be explained better by your endocrinologist). Vitamin D supplementation to maintain their levels in normal range has not been found to cause
kidney stones. There is a misconception that since most stones are formed from
calcium, decreasing calcium intake/decreasing vitamin d leads to prevention of stones. However it is NOT SO. Vitamin D deficiency and calcium deficiency are found to cause kidney stones. So you can continue taking the supplements
As for your current stone problem there needs to be a further evaluation as mentioned below
In meantime you can take Syp KCit 2 tsp TDS for 3 months for atone prevention
