Endometriosis surgery

I have to go through endometriosis surgery for the second. First time surgery was handled by general surgeon who is laproscopic specialist but not gynecologist. Is that better to go with gynecologist who is specialized in endometriosis and laproscopic surgery rather than a general surgeon?
