What is the cause for Endometrial Polyps? I have one, 10x10mm not sure if I should get get removed through surgery. One doctor said it's because of sexual activity, is that true? I also have high levels of prolactin. I'm just curious to know if sexual activity causes endometrial polyps, as the doctor seemed very sure that it does, and I am not sexually active.

Sexual activity does not produce endometrial polyp. Having a polyp causes bleeding after sexual intercourse..

Endomterial hyperplasia consequent to hormonal imbalance is the cause for endometrial polyps There is no correlation between sexual activity and polyp The polyp definitely request surgical removal
