Ectopic pregnancy issue

I had diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy on sept 2018.Doctor gave me one dose of methotrexate and then beta hcg came down to 3.now doctor is advising to do HSG test(x Ray) so that we should get to know why is this happened is there any blockage or not before planing again. Is it correct way of treatment and also is it necessary to do hsg before planning again
