Early invasive squamous

My father is having swollen wound looks like ring worm inside his mouth. After consulting General physician he advised for biopsy. Biopsy report says Early invasive squamous carcinoma. He advised to consult dental surgeon. Which I will definitely do. But shouldn't I consult an oncologist as well?

if report says squamous cell then then immediately go for oncologist for second oppinion. can you tell me excact position of ulcer.whether it is below the tongue,lips,cheeeks or infront of tongue. if posible then send me a pic of that

IN THIS CONDITION ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON WOULD BE THE RIGHT CHOICE BECAUSE THEY CAN HANDLE THE SURGICAL PART AS WELL AS THE POST SURGICAL CARE ,MAXILLO FACIAL SURGEON WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAN THE TREATMENT IN TERMS OF PROSTHETIC REHABILITAION AS WELL..

yes sir, show it to an oncologist but show it to an oral surgeon also. as they both will work together and do the treatment. try to go to a hospital where both doctors are available. and dont delay it much.
