Ear infection and perforated ear drum

I have ear infection from last 1 week. When i first checked doctor cleaned ear from infection and shown me tiny hole in ear drum. I was taking antibiotics and ear drops prescribed by doctor. After 4 days again infection started and this time doctor suggested to undergo surgery to patch up hole. How much does this surgery cost approximately? I guess its a tympanoplasty surgery.

If your perforation is small to moderate, and you are not a diabetic, and the middle ear is dry, then there is a non-surgical alternative..... weekly cauterization of the margins of the perforation, which encourages growth of tympanic membrane and ultimately healing it.
Next Steps
First priority is to maintain a dry middle ear for at least 3 months. This is necessary even for Tympanoplasty as otherwise it is bound to fail!
