Hi.
Lying down immediately after meals causes the acid from the stomach to come to the throat and cause irritation, what is often referred as Laryngo-pharyngeal Reflux Disease (LPRD). Easiest solution to this is keeping a gap of atleast one and half hour to two hours gap between meals and lying down. Also, small frequent meals, i.e small meal every 3-4 hours, and not staying hungry for too long at a stretch, helps. If these measures don't give relief, a small course of antacids can help. Plz visit an ENT specialist online/In-person for detailed evaluation and treatment.
