Hello mam,
Burning mouth may be due to xerostomia i.e. Dry mouth , nutritional deficiency of iron , zinc , folate etc, due to gastroesophageal reflex , harmonal . So firstly the proper cause has to be know and treated accordingly . For treatment saliva replacements can be given , lidocaine mouth rinse can be give .

Is your grandmother on any medication for any other health concern? Many times a medication given for other purposes like high BP etc may cause dry mouth. In such cases an alternate drug for that will solve the issue.
