Dry cough with no symptoms
Hi doctors
My husband having cough and its been 3 weeks. once or twice, he waking up with sever cough in the night and morning.
There is no mucus but cough sounds like sever.
initially doctor we consult, gave antibiotic injection and tablets, which doesn't work.
99% oxygen, no fever or any other symptoms till now.
He doesn't have any allergies.
He doesn't smoke or drink alcohol.
He didn't have any medical condition before.
He tested positive for covid (1 and half year ago), with no symptoms.
please suggest any test will show underlying cause.

For symptomatic releif take ascoril D syrup
Further eavluation for the underlying desease is reqd.
Chest x ray and basic blood investigation along with CB NAAT of sputum is required to rule out Tb.... which is found very commonly .
Also in the increasing covid and change in varriant.. we need to rule out covid also

Ask him to do a Chest Xray and also the following blood tests: CBC, CRP and D Dimer.
For Cough ask him to take Pulmoclear: 1 tab once daily after lunch for 1 week and Benz Pearls Cap : 1 cap twice daily after breakfast and dinner.
Sometimes due to accumulation of fluid in lungs or due to thickening of pleura : Coughing can occur repeatedly.
