Can I drink alcohol since breastfeeding my 1 month child. If yes what is the precautions to take. Please suggest. Can I take red wine if it's safe

It is recommended not to drink till 3-5 months , or until the time baby is exclusively breast feeding.. That said, it doesn’t not seem like the alcohol is excreted in the milk, but can have other undesired effects for you and the baby

Best is to avoid… Avoiding breastfeed for 2 hours after intake ( can be expressed milk used for next feed ) Limit to one drink a day Red wine is alcohol too (11-14 %) Beer 4-6 % So & So
