Double marker results

Hello doctor ...My T21 result is 1: 176 . .. showing increased risk of down syndrome but my NT scan is totally normal..I am confused with the report ..pls answer is it a risk factor to my foetus

Whether it is NT or NB or PAPP A or beta HCG, all are just soft markers. None of them is diagnostic . And none of them can be numerically related to the foetal anomalies. And even next step, NIPT is not a foolproof method to get a concrete answer. It is up to you to decide how far you want to go at this stage.

Hey honestly the risk showed is high.. But i would still like to see the report and not just make you worry..because their are 3 different types of readings in a dual marker report . And you need to decide next step accordingly

Nt scan only tells the baby is  structurally normal the double marker test is for screening of mental retardation or mental welll being This is not a diagnostic test you need to go for aminocentesis
