Dog bite treatment
I was bitten by Rottweiler pet dog. I am taking augmentine from last 20 days alongwith painkiller. Initial augmentine 1000mg was going on after 5 days it was switched to 625mg. My leg is still swelling even though it is dry and covered. Dog bite happened on 11th June. Till today I have taken 4 dosages of rabipur, Titanus and hpt B . Kindly let me know what can be the reason for this swelling and for how long I'll have to take these antibiotics. I have uploaded photo of injury taken after 2 days of dog bite. I am facing issues with stool also.
Your bowel upset s due to antibiotics.
Only swelling may not require antibiotics.
If wound is having redness , discharge or visible pus or dead tissue it may require some cleaning.
U may visit hospital for checking the condition of your wound.
Do anti septic dressing using betadine and show as early as u can
