Does cavity in teeth pains

My kid is 4 years old girl and during school general health check she was told that she has cavities in her teeth. Earlier she never had pain. But now since 2 days she is complaining of severe, shooting pain in 1 tooth. Would this pain be related to the cavities?

Hello Yes cavities do pain and give sensitivity So take her to a dentist and get it filled properly
