The best way to manage type 1 diabetes is by adjusting insulin based on Carbohydrates in the food. It's called DAFNE (Dose adjustment for normal eating). This is the method followed in the most European counties. The kid never get good control without this method. Type 1 Diabetes is not a simple time of diabetes where u just see a sugar report and prescribe insulin dose. We need to have regular monitoring of sugars with glucometer at least thrice a day.
