I think your problem is manly due some stress that you are harbouring in your mind. I suggest you learn yogi relaxation technique and meditation. Doing physical excercise everyday helps to reduce stress. When you do meditation and excercise a natural hormone ( endorphine) is released in body, it will help you sleep better. Please do not resort to taking medicines for sleep without supervision of doctor. Also avoid any other hazardous methods like alcohol to induce sleep.
I suggest first you follow yogic relaxation, meditation, and exercise. Do it for at least three months, even after that if you still have sleeping difficulty, please consult a doctor.
