If there is a disc prolapse seen on MRI scan and you are having symptoms which are consistent with the appearance on the scan, then treatment for this is important. However if the symptoms are improving, then it will be appropriate to wait for a bit longer. If your symptoms are not getting better, then other intervention like a nerve root injections or surgery may need to be considered.
