Dear human, thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns, it’s not always easy to share. It must have been difficult for you to handle this and I appreciate your effort to reach out for help. Understanding your current concerns it sounds like your loss of sleep or not being able to achieve a healthy sleep can be due to many reasons. People commonly experience loss of sleep with some pressing issue that could be lingering at the back of their mind, guilt, stress from work or in personal life, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, etc. As there isn’t sufficient information here to identify any thinking patterns, we could get on a session and discuss further.
But there are a few things you could do in the meanwhile-
1. One of the easiest and efficient ways of keeping a track of your thoughts is to keep a journal handy and put the thoughts down as is, whenever you feel the need and at least once every day.
2. Since you are already exercising, continue doing that. Along with that, you could also meditate. Meditation before sleeping can help you relax, declutter your mind and ultimately sleep better.
3. Eat good food, whatever seems to pleasure you. At this point, it’s important that you take care of your basic needs first and eventually proceed to other self-care exercises.
4. You could also listen to an audiobook, a podcast of your liking or relaxing music with soothing tunes when you are ready for bed and let it continue even if you pass out.
