I would like to know when a person is considered as diabetic or pre diabetic. My Hba1c is 5.2 but my RBS fluctuates rarely.

HBA1C gives the result as follows.: below 5.7% :Non diabetic 5.7 to 6.4% : Pre-diabetic ABOVE 6.4% : Diabetic RBS is NOT a diagnostic test for diabetes and the levels do fluctuate depending on the diet
