Dexa scan and osteopenia

Hi, i got dexa scan as part of my whole body check up in march 2024. It showed tscore of -1.5 and -1.8 at femur neck and femur total. Tscore of spine was -0.5. that time doctor told me to take calcium shelcal and vitamin B12 and said nothing is serious. My vitamin D was normal. I now have some backpain, leg pain at times from hips. Got physiotherapy done and it got better but returns if i stop exercise. My body joints feel stiff sometimes and have neck pain and knee pain with activities too.I'm concerned if my osteopenia progressed too soon. Should i get dexa scan done again? I'm only 29 F now. Please guide me. I'm scared if i got osteoporosis or osteopenia worsened. Thank you!

Hello. The back pain might be due to a variety of reasons including prolonged sitting. The Osteopenia usually does not progress this fast. The neck and knee pain might be due lack of exercise and stiffness.
Next Steps
I don't feel there is a need to repeat DEXA scan. You do need a few more blood tests though.
Health Tips
You should continue exercises for your back. Avoid prolonged sitting and forward bending. Please consult a doctor for better evaluation and treatment plan.
