Around 2 weeks back I was suffering from viral. When doctor advised for blood test. In the blood test it was noticed that my blood sugar level was 206. Doctor proscribed medicine for viral along with tab for sugar also. And told that tab for sugar to be continued. What is the periodicity of further tests. Is it curable? My age is 53.

I would never diagnose diabetes based on a single blood test especially if you are ill. My suggestion is discussing with your doctor about stopping anti diabetic treatment and rechecking sugar tests after a few weeks
