I'm taking escitalooram20 for 2 years. I have taken many meds for depression since last 5 years. Nexito20 had less side effects so I was put on it finally. I'm 90% recovered but the 10% doesn't become alright no matter what I do. I'm unable to taper and stop it.  Someone told me that Rtms can help u reduce and stop meds. Is it possible? I can't take more side effects and keep popping it for my life. How can I stop it plz help I'm suffering immensly

Ask your Psychiatrist for details of rTMS. But since you have mostly recovered May not need it. Psychotherapy to modify thinking, behavior and improve resilence will help.

You could give rTMS a try, it has varying effectiveness in every patient.  You can also consider therapy since you're 90%better.

Go for an evaluation for depression and that will help you to understand your current level and accordingly you can decide with the medicines too after consulting the doctor.
