Depression and OCD

I am suffering from depression and OCD since last four year. My psychiatrist prescribed fluxotine 40 mg with other medicines like olanzapine and amxide h. He is saying of increasing the dose to 60 mg next week. Does this medication with such a higher dose affect my body? I mean is there any other serious side effects of taking this medicine with such a higher dose?

Psychotherapy will help you more with medication... even hypnosis will help you to work with this issues with medications.

OCD as such will require higher doses of SSRI. You can continue or even hike up the dose if needed with consultation from your doctor. Careful watch for side effects advised.

Usually people with OCD would need higher doses of fluoxetine (SSRI group of drugs).I am assuming that that's the reason for the increased dose as you have had a partial response. Doses up to 80 mg per day, sometimes even higher can be given. In case of any symptoms like headache, gastritis etc or symptoms of serotonergic syndrome (can be checked) you can always consult
