My father is suffering from depression from last 28 yrs. He is a regular drinker and hash smoker. I wanted to know how much dose of Aripiprazole 10 mg can i give him in a day as he is sleeping for just 2-3 hrs from last 5 days. His behaviour is not normal and his mind is not getting enough rest as he has become very hyperactive. Additionally, the doctor we are consulting meets him once in a month, no counseling is done and repeats same medication every time. Is it normal or do i need to raise concern or consult another doctor?
